Usually, when thinking about optimizing a Mobile App (ASO \u2013 App Store Optimization), the first thing that comes to mind is to improve visual assets such as the icon or screenshots or focus on the search and optimization of new keywords.<\/p>\n

But we often overlook the impact of user ratings and reviews on our Mobile App downloads.<\/p>\n

HOW USER REVIEWS AFFECT ASO<\/h3>\n

User reviews are considered key elements in the positioning of the app as by the algorithms that run applications, the more positive reviews an App has, the higher it will appear in the search results.<\/p>\n

In addition to this, high download rates and positive comments can also influence the users when choosing between your App or another alternative.<\/p>\n

So now comes the main part, i.e. how can you improve reviews and increase the downloads<\/strong><\/em>. Here is the recipe!<\/p>\n

Convert A Rating From 1 Star To 5 Stars<\/h4>\n

Rarely the debut of an application gets the 5 stars. At first, there may be errors, performance issues on different devices, or simply, users would like your application to do something else.<\/p>\n

This can lead to very low ratings and negative comments at the beginning. But do not be put off. These reviews can be very constructive and will provide you with key information on how to update and improve your App.<\/p>\n

3. Improve Review Quality<\/h3>\n

Turning negative evaluations and criticisms into positive comments will take time and will require constant work. The faster you respond to user feedback and update your app, the better feedback you\u2019ll get.<\/p>\n

As we have said before, it is crucial to know how and when to ask for ratings and comments.<\/p>\n

You can do a survey inside your App in the tenth session, if the comment is positive you can encourage the user to publish it directly in the App Store, and if it is negative you can include an email to send your feedback.<\/p>\n

This way you will get valuable information, quality reviews and avoid bad public comments.<\/p>\n
